The Toolbars

We are still exploring the basics. Knowing about toolbars is important and how to find them is even more important.

• On the menu bar select VIEW - it is interesting to know that all of the Microsoft programs keep their toolbars under the view menu
• Select toolbars from the drop down menu and a submenu appears with the names of various toolbars available to use with Excel
• Right now we want to make sure the following toolbars are selected (that is they have a check mark beside their name): standard, formatting and drawing
• TIP: usually if you decide to work with something say WordArt or Pivot Tables the toolbar usually appears on your screen. BUT, if it doesn't you know where to find it - under the View Menu.
• You are now ready to explore Page Setup - a real biggie in Excel
