class is conducted entirely online. The class will be open for you to begin
on the first day of school. Until then, you will only be able to review
this page.
What will you learn in this class?
At the end of the class you will be so-o-o-o-o-o good at understanding
your computer, the world of computers and technology and what you can do
with this fun toy.
You will do many things. You will explore the world of computers: You will
play with your computer, look at some basic troubleshooting and maintenance
techniques, look at some software and explore the Internet.
You will have projects with each of the lessons. These projects will demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of what you have learned.
As a class, we will have a Yahoo! Groups where you will have the opportunity to communicate with other classmates by leaving messages for other students to view and respond. This is where you can ask for help from each other and help each other.

Need a book?
There are several good books in bookstores. Buying on is a personal preference
to yourself. I suggest checking the books out & seeing what format appeals
to you. At the WVC bookstore is a good step-by-step book ... Illustrated
Series: Microsoft Windows XP by Steven M. Johnson. A book is not
required to complete this course.
